Using ORF you can configure external access to the system for your recruitment collaborators such as vendors or for your clients.
Once ORF functionality is enabled, you can mark clients and vendor organizations in Talenture RS as ORF enabled to turn on collaborative recruitment for them.
You can then create user-ids for such firms. Talenture RS creates such user-ids with a prefix indicating the external user type to avoid any confusion with internal user logins.
Talenture RS comes with built-in user groups for different collaborator types with suitable permissions to allow quick setup for secure use. You can modify these to further adapt to your needs.
External User Permissions
ORF ensures that external users participate in your process without getting any unintended usage rights. For example, when assigning roles on a Job, user lists are properly filtered to show only users with appropriate permissions. Similarly users-ids are grouped by collaboration type such as Freelancer, Associate etc. for avoiding mistakes in assignment.
Further, you can use system level settings to ensure that a partner/associate or client organization can view only its own data via its logins and perform recruitment actions on its candidates only.
Common Tasks
- Enable external access for clients
- Enable external access for vendors
- Control data views for external users
- Control job role visibility for external users
- Track resumes received from vendor/partners
1. Enable external access for clients
For this you first need to enable the ORF Collaboration feature in Talenture RS. See <task-link> for enabling Open Recruitment Framework (ORF) in Talenture RS. Once ORF is enabled follow these steps for enabling remote access for clients:
Enable ORF Collaboration for the client(s):
- In main Workbench, expand 'Business Relationships' data folder, expand 'Clients' under it and click on 'Current'.
- In the list of clients in the right-pane click on the client for whom to enable remote access. The detail page of the client will come up.
- Tick the 'Enable ORF Collaboration' check-box.
- Click on 'Update' to save the changes.
Create an ORF login-id for the client(s):
Follow these steps via a user login having administrative privileges:
- Point to the Tools menu and select 'System Configuration'.
- In the System Configuration Navigator, expand 'User Management' and click on the 'Users' data view.
- From the File menu select 'New'. The New User dialog will come up.
- Enter the details for the user such as actual name, login-id, password etc.
- In the 'User type' select “ORF Client”. Go with the default value for the profile field.
- In the 'Organization' drop-down select the client company for which you'd enabled ORF Collaboration in step 1 above.
- Click on the 'Save' button.
Note that Talenture RS automatically adds a prefix “c-” indicating that it’s a client-side login. It also adds the first few letters of the company name to further indicate the specific client.
Now you can share this login-id with your client for accessing Talenture RS.
2. Enable external access for vendors
For this you first need to enable the ORF Collaboration feature in Talenture RS. See <task-link> for enabling Open Recruitment Framework (ORF) in Talenture RS. Once ORF is enabled follow these steps for enabling remote access for vendors:
Enable ORF Collaboration for the vendor(s)
- In main Workbench, expand 'Business Relationships' data folder, expand 'Vendors' under it and click on 'Current'.
- In the list of vendors in the right-pane click on the vendor for whom to enable remote access. The detail page of the vendor will come up.
- Tick the 'Enable ORF Collaboration' check-box.
- Click on 'Update' to save the changes.
Create an ORF login-id for the vendor(s)
Follow these steps via a user login having administrative privileges:
- Point to the Tools menu and select 'System Configuration'.
- In the System Configuration Navigator, expand 'User Management' and click on the 'Users' data view.
- From the File menu select 'New'. The New User dialog will come up.
- Enter the details for the user such as actual name, login-id, password etc.

- The 'Organization' drop-down will display the names of vendor organizations that you’ve added in Talenture RS – these may be added as Associates, Franchisees or Freelance recruiter who work for you.
- Select the vendor for which you'd enabled ORF Collaboration in step 1 above.
- Click on the 'Save' button.
Talenture RS will add different prefixes depending on the type of external user. So for vendor-side users an “f-“ prefix is used for franchisee logins, for freelancers “fl-“ is used while for associate an “a-“ is used.
Now you can share this login-id with your vendor for accessing Talenture RS.

- Point to the Tools menu and select 'System Configuration'.
- In the System Configuration Navigator, expand 'System Settings' and click on the 'Advanced Recruiting' data view.

- Point to the Tools menu and select 'System Configuration'.
- In the System Configuration Navigator, expand 'System Settings' and click on the 'Advanced Recruiting' data view.
- On the right pane, tick the 'Show job roles to ORF users not in owner role' checbox.
