You can configure your existing email account from any domain in Talenture RS. It supports the standard email protocols: SMTP, POP3, IMAP.
Email account configuration can be done from individual user logins as well as from the administrative login.
In Talenture RS email accounts are assigned to 1 or more users enabling them to use the assigned email account for interacting with candidates. clients etc. as part of the recruitment process.
You can enable the resume transfer option when configuring an email account to automatically parse resume content when receiving email.
Using Email functions in Parallel with External Email Applications
If you’re using external applications like Outlook, Thunderbird etc. along with Talenture RS you can also enable auto-forwarding of emails to a specific email-id and receive these in those applications.
This allows you to maintain copies of email generated from Talenture RS Email Client in external email applications.
Talenture RS also supports sharing of email accounts wherein an email-id can be share among multiple team members. This is useful in scenarios where a common email-id is used by a team to interact with candidates when working on positions.

1. Configure a new email account
To add a new email account in Talenture RS follow these steps via a user login having administrative privileges:
- Point to the Tools menu and select 'System Configuration'.
- In the System Configuration Navigator, expand 'Email' and click on the 'Accounts' data view.
- From the File menu select 'New'. The New Email Account screen will come up.
- Specify the details for the email account such as a name, email address, outgoing/incoming server settings etc.
- Click 'Save' to create the email account.
2. Set an auto-signature
Follow these steps to set an auto signature:
- Point to the Tools menu and select 'User Configuration'. The User Configuration Navigator will open.
- In the Navigator tree view, expand 'Email' and click on the 'Accounts' data view.
- Click your email account on the right-hand pane. The email account settings page will open.
- Scroll down in the page and in the Auto Signature box, specify your signature. You can type text into the box or copy paste your signature from another document etc.
- You can also insert images in the auto-signature (such as company logo etc.) using the Insert Picture icon in the rich text controls displayed in the auto-signature text area.
- Once done, click the 'Save' button to save your settings.
3. Enable auto-forwarding of emails to a user's own email-id
Follow these steps from a user login having administrator privileges:
- Point to the Tools menu and select 'System Configuration'.
- In the 'System Configuration' Navigator, expand 'Email' and click on the 'Accounts' data view.
- Click each email account and perform the following steps:
1. In the 'Outgoing Email Configuration' section, tick the check box 'Automatically Bcc each sent mail to my own email'.
2. Click the 'Save' button.
4. Set a default email account
If a user has been assigned more than 1 email account you can set one of the accounts as the default email account. Follow these steps via the user's login for doing this:
- Point to the Tools menu and select 'User Configuration'.
- In the User Configuration Navigator, expand 'Email' and click on the 'Accounts' data view.
- The right-hand pane will display list of all email accounts assigned to the user.
- Click on the email account to set as deault - the email account details page will be displayed.
- In the 'Email Account Details' section, tick the check box 'Set As Default'.
- Click the 'Save' button.
5. Enable automatic parsing of resumes from incoming email
To enable automatic parsing of resume content when email is received for the email account, in the section, 'Perform candidate parsing when receiving new email', tick the checkbox 'Do you want candidate parsing when receiving email' checkbox and select the 'Default Download Processing Spec' in the 'Message processing spec to apply on incoming messages' drop-down.
