Collaborative recruitment models offer huge benefits for staffing firms. Under this business model, staffing firms collaborate with 3rd parties for e.g. via franchisee, associate, freelance models to offer end-to-end recruitment services.
Talenture RS‘s Open Recruitment Framework (ORF) enables external users (Clients or Vendors) to securely participate in your recruitment process via the Talenture RS platform.
ORF enables the following types of collaborative recruitment:
- Freelancers: Domain specialists freelancing for a staffing firm.
- Recruitment Associates: Staffing companies working with 3rd parties having expertise in specific domains/verticals/functions.
- Franchisees: Staffing companies working with 3rd party firms as its sister concerns assisting in establishing and operating the complete business process.
- RPO Clients: Clients outsourcing their entire recruitment function to a staffing company.
- RPO Vendors (for Internal Hiring): Staffing company to which client companies outsource their recruitment functions.

1. Setting up Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) clients
To enable external access to Talenture RS for your RPO Clients you need to enable the ORF Collaboration feature in Talenture RS. See <task-link> for enabling Open Recruitment Framework (ORF) in Talenture RS.
a. Add details of your RPO Clients
Follow these steps via a recruiter login:
- Point to the New Menu option and click on Client, the New Client page will come up.
- Enter the client name in 'Client Name'
- Specify the client type i.e. 'Lead', 'Current' or 'Inactive'.
- Tick the 'Enable ORF Collaboration' check-box.
- Specify the other details such as contact details, status and any notes.
- Click 'Save' to create the client.
- Point to the New Menu option and click on Contact, the New Contact page will come up.
- Enter the contact name in 'First Name', 'Middle Name' & 'Last Name'
- Specify the vendor type i.e. 'Lead', 'Current'
- Specify the other details such as contact details, status and any notes.
- Click 'Save' to create the client contact.
b. Create an ORF login-id for Clients
Follow these steps via a user login having administrative privileges for creating user logins for your RPO client users:
- Point to the Tools menu and select 'System Configuration'.
- In the System Configuration Navigator, expand 'User Management' and click on the 'Users' data view.
- From the File menu select 'New'. The New User dialog will come up.
- Enter the details for the user such as actual name, login-id, password etc.
- In the 'User type' select “ORF Client”. Go with the default value for the profile field.
- The 'Organization' drop-down will display the names of client organizations that you’ve added in Talenture RS.
- Select the RPO Client for which you'd enabled ORF Collaboration in step 1 above.
- Click on the 'Save' button.
Talenture RS will add different prefixes depending on the type of external user. A “c-“ prefix is used for client logins.
c. Customize Permissions for RPO Client Users
You can customize the default permissions assigned to client logins for e.g to allow more functions to them or impose additional restrictions as per your policies. Follow these steps via a user login having administrative privileges for creating user logins for your RPO client users:
- Point to the Tools menu and select 'System Configuration'.
- In the System Configuration Navigator, expand 'User Management' and click on the 'Users' data view.
- In the list of users click on each client login. The details screen will come up.
- Make the changes in the permissions section as required and click on 'Save'.
2. Setting up Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) vendors
For this you need to enable the Vendors module in Talenture RS. Refer to the task "Enable vendor management feature for Staffing" <task-link>
Also, to enable external access to Talenture RS for your RPO Vendors you need to enable the ORF Collaboration feature in Talenture RS. See <task-link> for enabling Open Recruitment Framework (ORF) in Talenture RS.
a. Add details of your RPO Vendors
Follow these steps via a recruiter login:
- Point to the New Menu option and click on Vendor, the New Vendor page will come up.
- Enter the vendor name in 'Vendor Name'
- Specify the vendor type i.e. 'Lead', 'Current' or 'Inactive'.
- In the 'Relationship' drop-down select 'Associate Firm'.
- Tick the 'Enable ORF Collaboration' check-box.
- Specify the other details such as contact details, status and any notes.
- Click 'Save' to create the vendor.
- Point to the New Menu option and click on Contact, the New Contact page will come up.
- Enter the contact name in 'First Name', 'Middle Name' & 'Last Name'
- Specify the vendor type i.e. 'Lead', 'Current'
- Specify the other details such as contact details, status and any notes.
- Click 'Save' to create the vendor contact.
b. Create an ORF login-id for Vendors
Follow these steps via a user login having administrative privileges for creating user logins for your RPO vendor users:
- Point to the Tools menu and select 'System Configuration'.
- In the System Configuration Navigator, expand 'User Management' and click on the 'Users' data view.
- From the File menu select 'New'. The New User dialog will come up.
- Enter the details for the user such as actual name, login-id, password etc.
- In the 'User type' select “ORF Vendor”. Go with the default value for the profile field.
- The 'Organization' drop-down will display the names of vendor organizations that you’ve added in Talenture RS.
- Select the RPO Vendors for which you'd enabled ORF Collaboration in step 1 above.
- Click on the 'Save' button.
Talenture RS will add different prefixes depending on the type of external user. So an “f-“ prefix is used for franchisee logins, for freelancers “fl-“ is used while for associate an “a-“ is used.
c. Customize Permissions for RPO Vendor Users

d. Create and assign users to Functional Teams for Vendors
This will enable you to easily assign and monitor the work of users from RPO vendors on jobs in Talenture RS. Follow these steps via a user login having administrative privileges for creating teams for each of your RPO vendors:
- Point to the Tools menu and select 'System Configuration'.
- In the System Configuration Navigator, expand 'Team Management' and click on the 'Functional Teams' data view.
- From the File menu select 'New'. The New Functional Team page will come up.
- Enter the name of the team in the 'Team Name' field. Here you can specify theRPO Vendor name.
- In the Status drop-down select 'Active'.
- Enter a description in the 'Details' field if required.
- In the Team Members section select the users of the RPO Vendor from the Remaining Users box and click on the 'Add' button. These users will now be displayed in the Members box.
In the Team Managers section,
- From the 'Manager' drop-down select a user from the Vendor-side to whom you want to assign the manager role.
- From the "Level' drop-down select the hierarchy level for the manager.
- In the 'Access Type' drop-down select whether the user will have 'Read Only' access to the team members' work or will have 'Edit Access' to their work.
- In the next 'Manager' drop-down, select a user from your own organization who will also monitor the worm of the team and assign the 'Access Type' for 'Read Only' or 'Edit Access' access
- Click on the 'Save' button to create the team.
3. Setting Up Freelance Users and Business Associates
For this you need to enable the Vendors module in Talenture RS. Refer to the task "Enable vendor management feature for Staffing" <task-link>
Also, to enable external access to Talenture RS for your Associates and Freelancers you need to enable the ORF Collaboration feature in Talenture RS. See <task-link> for enabling Open Recruitment Framework (ORF) in Talenture RS.

Follow these steps via a recruiter login:
- Point to the New Menu option and click on Vendor, the New Vendor page will come up.
- Enter the vendor name in 'Vendor Name'
- Specify the vendor type i.e. 'Lead', 'Current' or 'Inactive'.
- In the 'Relationship' drop-down select 'Associate Firm' or 'Freelancer'.
- Tick the 'Enable ORF Collaboration' check-box.
- Specify the other details such as contact details, status and any notes.
- Click 'Save' to create the vendor.
b. Create an ORF login-id for Business Associates and Freelancers
Follow these steps via a user login having administrative privileges:
- Point to the Tools menu and select 'System Configuration'.
- In the System Configuration Navigator, expand 'User Management' and click on the 'Users' data view.
- From the File menu select 'New'. The New User dialog will come up.
- Enter the details for the user such as actual name, login-id, password etc.
- In the 'User type' select “ORF Vendor”. Go with the default value for the profile field.
- The 'Organization' drop-down will display the names of vendor organizations that you’ve added in Talenture RS – these may be added as Associates, Franchisees or Freelance recruiter who work for you.
- Select the Business Associates/Freelancer(s) for which you'd enabled ORF Collaboration in step 1 above.
- Click on the 'Save' button.
Talenture RS will add different prefixes depending on the type of external user. So an “f-“ prefix is used for franchisee logins, for freelancers “fl-“ is used while for associate an “a-“ is used.
Now you can share this login-id with your Associates and Freelancers for accessing Talenture RS.
4. Setting up Franchisees
For this you need to enable the Vendors module in Talenture RS. Refer to the task "Enable vendor management feature for Staffing" <task-link>
Also, to enable external access to Talenture RS for your Franchisees you need to enable the ORF Collaboration feature in Talenture RS. See <task-link> for enabling Open Recruitment Framework (ORF) in Talenture RS.

Follow these steps via a recruiter login:
- Point to the New Menu option and click on Vendor, the New Vendor page will come up.
- Enter the vendor name in 'Vendor Name'
- Specify the vendor type i.e. 'Lead', 'Current' or 'Inactive'.
- In the 'Relationship' drop-down select 'Franchisee'.
- Tick the 'Enable ORF Collaboration' check-box.
- Specify the other details such as contact details, status and any notes.
- Click 'Save' to add the Franchisee.
b. Create an ORF login-id for Franchisees
Follow these steps via a user login having administrative privileges:
- Point to the Tools menu and select 'System Configuration'.
- In the System Configuration Navigator, expand 'User Management' and click on the 'Users' data view.
- From the File menu select 'New'. The New User dialog will come up.
- Enter the details for the user such as actual name, login-id, password etc.
- In the 'User type' select “ORF Vendor”. Go with the default value for the profile field.
- The 'Organization' drop-down will display the names of franchisee organizations that you’ve added in Talenture RS.
- Select the Franchisee for which you'd enabled ORF Collaboration in step 1 above.
- Click on the 'Save' button.
Talenture RS will add different prefixes depending on the type of external user, an “f-“ prefix is used for franchisee logins.
Now you can share this login-id with your Franchisee for accessing Talenture RS.
