The General category of Master Data contains views for managing the master list of locations (cities/towns), countries, currencies etc. in Talenture RS. You can add new values for these, update, de-activate or hide existing ones (for e.g. those which are not relevant for you).
Common Tasks
- Add a new country
- Add a new currency
- Enable/disable currencies
- Set default currency
- Enable/disable a Currency multiple
- Set default multiple
1. Add a new country
To add a new country which is not in the location list follow these steps via a user login having administrative privileges:
- Point to the Tools menu and select 'Masterdata'.
- In the Masterdata Navigator, expand 'General' and click on the 'Countries' data view.
- In the File menu select 'New'. the New Country dialog comes up.
- In 'Country' type the country name.
- Click 'Save'.
2. Add a new currency
Follow these steps via a user login having administrative privileges:
- Point to the Tools menu and select 'Masterdata'.
- In the Masterdata Navigator, expand 'General' and click on the 'Currencies' data view.
- Point to the 'File' menu and select 'New'. The New Currency dialog will come up.
- Type the currency name in the 'Name' field.
- Type the short name/acronym for the currency in the 'Symbol' field.
- Click 'Save'.
3. Enable/disable currencies
Follow these steps via a user login having administrative privileges:
- Point to the Tools menu and select 'Masterdata'.
- In the Masterdata Navigator, expand 'General' and click on the 'Currencies' data view.
- List of currencies will be displayed in right-hand list pane.
- Tick the one to enable/disable, point to the 'Edit' menu and select 'Enable' or 'Disable'.
4. Set default currency
Follow these steps via a user login having administrative privileges:
- Point to the Tools menu and select 'Masterdata'.
- In the Masterdata Navigator, expand 'General' and click on the 'Currencies' data view.
- List of currencies will be displayed in right-hand list pane.
- Tick the one to set as default, point to the 'Edit' menu and select 'Set Default'.
5. Enable/disable a Currency multiple
Follow these steps via a user login having administrative privileges:
- Point to the Tools menu and select 'Masterdata'.
- In the Masterdata Navigator, expand 'General' and click on the 'Multiples' data view.
- List of multiples/denominations will be displayed in right-hand list pane.
- Tick the ones to enable/disable, point to the 'Edit' menu and select 'Enable' or 'Disable'.
6. Set default multiple
Follow these steps via a user login having administrative privileges:
- Point to the Tools menu and select 'Masterdata'.
- In the Masterdata Navigator, expand 'General' and click on the 'Multiples' data view.
- List of multiples/denominations will be displayed in right-hand list pane.
- Tick the one to set as default, point to the 'Edit' menu and select 'Set Default'.
