Assessments are designed in a way that they have a specific time window associated with them. This time frame will decide when to start working on the Assessment, maximum duration for which one can work on it and when to submit the assessment. Some assessments are designed in such a way that they will be submitted automatically when the submission deadline reaches.
In Talenture, when you click on the 'Add Assessment' action after selecting 1 or more candidates from the list, a dialog named 'Add Assessment' is launched. This dialog contains several fields & parameters as shown below:
These parameters are related to the Assessment Start time, Deadline for submitting the assessment, maximum duration for filling the assessment etc. Some of the important terms used while adding Assessment requests are explained here:
Different Parameters
a. Start After
'Start After' time is the time at which a candidate can start working on the assessment. Candidates will not be able to initiate the assessment before the start time. In the Assessment module, Start Date can be set as 'Anytime' meaning a candidate can start working on the assessment at any time or a particular time has to be specified to mark the start of the assessment.
b. Submission Deadline
Similar to the start time, there is always a due date associated with an assessment request called Submission Deadline. Candidates are required to submit the assessments before this due date. Assessment will be discarded if the candidate has not submitted the assessment and the Deadline has been passed. However, you can also leave the Submission Deadline undefined meaning a candidate can submit the assessment at any time.
c. Duration
All the questions asked in a Assessment have to be answered within a specified duration. This duration could be associated with an individual question or the time to take the entire assessment. Assessment module of the Talenture allows you to specify maximum duration i.e. 1 min, 2 mins etc. for Audio & Video type of the questions which means the duration of answer recorded for an Audio or Video question cannot exceed the maximum duration specified for it.
In a similar manner, no assessment can be submitted if the duration specified for its submission after starting has passed. However, you can also mark the Assessment for Auto-submission while adding an Assessment request for a candidate. So, the Assessment will be submitted automatically as the Submission deadline reaches provided this assessment does not have any mandatory questions in un-answered form.
d. Auto Submit
Assessment module comes with this feature of Auto Submission which means an Assessment will be submitted automatically once the Submission deadline has reached, whether the candidate has completed it or not. However, if the assessment had any mandatory questions associated with it, the assessment will then be discarded.
